On behalf of Mr. Wormald and myself, we want to thank you for
choosing our school web-site. Our outstanding faculty and staff,
supportive parents and dedicated students help to foster a sound
educational and emotional environment in which learning and the personal
growth of each student are given the highest priority. The
accomplishments of our students in the classroom, on standardized tests,
in athletics, in the arts and in a broad range of activities are the
main source of the Orange and Black Panther Pride within our educational
community.
Powell High School has a long-standing tradition of excellence. The
faculty and staff are committed to continuous improvement and to
building upon that excellence. The overwhelming support of the Powell
community in providing our truly exceptional facilities has inspired our
students and staff to work to their greatest capacity to fulfill our
mission, “Preparing Students for Life.” We anticipate a future that is
even brighter than our illustrious past. With the completion of our new
facilities, our staff and students will have more opportunities to
experience and expand their continual search for new innovative ways to
be successful. Powell High School is adapting to the
changing world around us by adapting our curriculum. With our focus on
Interdisciplinary Instruction and Cross-curricular offerings that
provide rigor and relevance to our instructional practices, we want our
students to learn to apply their learning across subject areas, to have
multiple perspectives, and to develop long-term planning ability.
